The nearly 50,000 participants at the start of this event together form a vast stream of walking people. Every day, crossing the finish line on the Wedren square in Nijmegen is cause for celebration. This resulted in huge crowds of people going in different directions, which made it difficult to move around on this square. In order to improve the flow on Wedren square, two EventBridge bridges were installed. This split-level junction above the finish line forms an additional passage that makes it much easier for people to move around on Wedren square.
